When we need you to verify your account, we will send you an email with a request for documents. The email will be sent to your registered email address - keep your eyes peeled!
Please follow the document requirements so that we can approve the documents and get your account verified quickly.
Please make sure to read through the email we send you carefully. All the information you need can be found in the email. Normally we would request an identification document, proof of address and in some instances a proof of payment method used on the account. In some cases, we would also require additional documents, if so, this will be clearly stated in the email.
Here is a simple guide that will help you meet the document requirements for quick and easy account verification:
This can be a photo of your passport, driving license, or national ID card.
Please ensure that all the following information is clearly visible: your full name, date of birth, expiry date, and signature (if provided on the document).
Make sure that the photo of your document is clear, in color, and that all details are readable without any blur. We recommend taking a photo somewhere brightly lit, and turn the flash off to avoid glare. We accept only original copies of identification documents, so do not take a picture of a picture.
PROOF OF ADDRESS
Proof of address is a document that proves you live on the same address that you registered on your player account. This can be a bill, official bank statement or letter from the government.
It is important that we can clearly see your full name, your home address, company logo and the issue date on the document.
If you are a resident of UK, Sweden or Denmark, the document should have been issued within the past three months. For all other residents, we accept documents issued within the last six months.
When we ask you to verify your credit card, simply take a picture of the front of the credit card(s) requested.
It is very important that we only see the first six and last four digits in the card number, e.g. 123456******1234. For your own security and peace of mind, please cover the digits in between. You can cover these digits with a small paper or similar.
We need to be able to see your name and the expiry date on the front.
Kindly ensure we can see the card in one picture, i.e. all four corners must be visible.
If you have lost your card, or if you no longer have it in your possession for any other reason, we will ask you to verify the card by sending proof of ownership document. The proof of ownership should show that card was lost, canceled, or has expired. You can easily obtain proof of ownership via your online banking. Log in to your internet bank and navigate to the section where you can see information on your credit cards. Find the required card and take a screenshot where we can see the card number, your name and the bank’s logo in one picture. If the full card number is visible we kindly ask you to cover the middle digits so that we can see only the first six and last four digits of the card number e.g. 123456******1234. Alternatively, your bank can provide you with an official letter to state that you are the card owner.
When you have the document, kindly send it to us for verification.
In some cases, we request proof of the bank account used for deposits or withdrawals on William Hill.
The easiest way for you to provide a bank statement is to log in to your online banking and take a screenshot where we can see your bank account number, your name and the bank’s logo in one picture. We also need to see that you are logged in your account.
If you do not have access to your online banking, you can always visit your bank and ask them to provide you with a bank statement. Make sure that the required details are visible when you take a photo of the document.
If you have used an E-wallet to deposit or withdraw with William Hill, we may ask you to verify that you are the owner of the E-wallet.
To do this, simply login to your account (Skrill, Neteller or PayPal) and take a screenshot where we can see your email address, username, and name in the picture. We also need to see that you are logged in your account. Once done, you can forward the picture to us for verification.
In addition to these documents in some cases, we may request additional documents. If this is the case, this will be clearly stated in the email you receive.
